| Sunstone is variety of plagioclase feldspar with metallic, shiny flecks of bright red and orange inclusions of iron oxide such as hematite and goethite. With the inclusions oriented parallel to one another, Sunstone exhibits a special optical effect known as aventurescence. These special gemstones display a Cat's-eye.
